1 T. parsley
½ t. basil
1 quart water
Additional Items:
3 Cans, Cream of Chicken Soup
2 chicken bouillon cubes
2-3 cup Long grain rice, cooked
Cut chicken into chunks. Add chicken to water and other ingredients. Boil until chicken and carrots are tender. Pour all but 1 ½ c. water out. Add 2 chicken bouillon cubes and mix in 3 cans of cream of chicken soup. Let simmer until warm. Add additional seasonings if desired. Put chicken gravy over rice and add the following:
mandarin oranges
cheese
Chinese noodles
green pepper,
coconut
pineapple
tomatoes
raisins
green onion
*This recipe freezes very well. Double the amount of the chicken gravy and place in freezer for later.
**I have also been in a rush and cooked my chicken in a Crockpot until tender. Then I just placed it in the gravy mixture. Both ways taste great. Keep this meal simple because it’s a delicious recipe and very easy!

Hi,
I just found your blog today through pinterest. I have pinned several of your recipes to make for my husband. Everything looks amazing! I was wondering how long and at what temperature (low or high) you would cook the chicken in a crockpot if using that method for the Hawaiian haystack recipe? Thanks so much! Jennifer
I usually cook up 5-6 chicken breasts in a crock pot (on medium for 4-5 hours), or until the chicken is tender. I then use half for this recipe and half for another recipe later in the week. Just cook the chicken until they are fork tender (this might vary depending how big your chicken breasts are and what temperature your crock pot cooks at). Thanks and good luck!
